It is finished! From a guy who hated school after graduating from North Carolina State University, I sure have punished myself with 3 1/2 years of a Masters Degree and another 3 years of doctoral work (Doctor of Education). While my accomplishment is nowhere near the status of Jesus’ work on the cross, I can say that the work is done!

I’m excited about how the Lord can use this education to further the cause of children and family ministry. I never pursued a degree for the accolades, but as an expression of my desire to be a II Peter 3:18 believer: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever more.”

I want to encourage you to be well educated. That may mean that you need to pursue a further degree or it may mean that you step up your reading and meditation a notch or two. Either way, the entire realm of CM will benefit enormously from those who pursue to honor God with their minds!

I hope that my training will continue to allow me to be a blessing to you and a powerful equipper of those in CM!
