smile box

Want to start using some online scrapbooking to maintain your ministry memories? You might want to check out Smilebox. Like many online service start-ups, the basic service is free, but they want  you to pay for more premium features. You may use this for archiving camp or retreat photos or giving families a slideshow to check out after an event.

Another one like this that my wife uses is One True Media. You can check out one of her creations here (and see my two sweet, adorable girls!).

5amlogo02sm

This one is for the techie’s out there. Go to 5am Productions if you would like to get a few quality loops for worship or countdown backgrounds. When you download the zipped file, you get about 100 .jpg images. You’ll need to import those images into a program like Windows Movie Maker, Adobe Premier, Cyberlink Power Director, or iMovie, set the .jpg images to go for a duration of about 1/30th of a second (30 frames per second), and then publish it as a .wmv, .mov, or .mpg file. Not too complicated, huh???

visual-bible-logo

If you are ever looking for teaching pictures, Visual Bible Alive is a great place to start. They have thousands of pictures that deal with Bible places, events, and people.

One way that I use things like this is by having kids listen to a dramatized story while looking at one or several pictures depicting that story.
